Using Design Thinking and mapping tools, create shifts in paradigms to help to convince products and services offered. Ability to create persona, customer journey map, user scenarios or UX methodology to bring a new way that enhance the user experience.
Tools Used & Covered
Miro, Google Slides, UX Research, Design Thinking, Design Positioning,Card Sorting, Design Elements, Grid & Layout, Persona, Customer Journey Map, User Scenarios, User Testing
Chosen Product & Product Research
Chosen supermarket is  Fair Price Finest. We, a team of four students, look into the checkout system and understand the brand and what the brand is looking into as to improve their customer user experience. We believe that the checkout system can improved further . We also need to come up with the user journey of a user to ensure the requirements and expectation of the project brief are fulfilled.
Product Research &  Exploration
We gather insights about the user experiences stages or behaviour, by immersing ourselves to understand the user experience, comparing them with other competitors are doing and knowing how are the processes engaging their customer needs. As this our first project, we interviewed friends and family on the checkout machine process for feedback.
Findings & Card Sorting
We gather our findings using Miro, writing notes on the note pad, and started to do card sorting. This will help us to define what issues we are facing at the checkout kiosk eg. what is confusing at the kiosk, what is needed to make the checkout to be more efficient and the user flow as their user journey, step by step procedure. We also need to think in the case of errors, how to get assistance with the checkout.
Persona Identification & User Journey Map
We create a persona as well as able to identify the user obstacles, emotion and behaviour in term of the user journey for the checkout experience.
UX Ideas & Proposed Solution
We came up with lots of ideas and possible solution, but we need categories and consider what is realistic and what is not realistic for the project Using HMW(How mIght We).
Compilation of Ideas and Creation of First Prototype
We compile all the realistic ideas and apply our persona and user journey to create the first paper prototype. We also came up with a task scenario for the user flow that include a task of removing an item from the scanning process.
Findings From First & Second Version of the Paper Prototype
We done lots of discussions between us and we did testing too within our friends and family  members to gather more feedback to improve our first version before we present to our client, that is our lecturer. We also take into consideration for people who are short sighted/ partially blind who may use the checkout kiosk, we tended to include chimes and recorder voices to make it more engaging.
 FINAL  PRESENTATION
Last Impression
